After 50 years in its existing building, the Royal Alberta Museum is relocating to a new purpose-built 419,000 square-foot facility in Edmonton’s Arts District, making it the largest museum facility in western Canada. With 84,000 square-feet of exhibition space, the museum will be able to present more of its extensive collection from its thirteen curatorial programs: archaeology to zoology. This tour is an opportunity for an advance peek at the new spaces, both back- and front-of house, as the museum makes its final push to completion and public opening.
* Please note that each tour is limited to 10 participants, and registration will be vetted to ensure equal representation from AMA and WMA delegates who would not otherwise get to experience such a tour at the facility. To request a spot on these tours, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
