Summer Education Internship (paid)
Sharlot Hall Museum (Prescott, AZ)
Work within Sharlot Hall Museum’s Education Program in Prescott, Arizona. Help to carry out children’s programs during festivals, and design and facilitate summer youth and family programs. Intern will also assist with other museum duties, including researching and writing for public audiences. Additionally, interns will complete readings and engage in discussions with the Education Department Manager about the museum field and education. Expected minimum time commitment is 32 hours per week at $10.50/hr. Internship is 256 hours and is expected to be completed between May 28th and August 17th, 2018. Employee benefits are not available. Housing is not provided.
Education and Background Desired: A college degree is not required, but the intern should have college credits in history, education or a related field. Internship will provide valuable experience for anyone pursuing a career in museums, or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in history, public history, or education.
